The Town of Windsor’s Water Conservation Program provides residents and businesses with in-depth services, education, and guidance about how to manage water wisely.
We are committed to partnering with our citizenry and with other local government and non-governmental organizations to identify where improvements to water efficiency can be made in order to ensure an ample, long-term supply for the Town.

We hope that you will join with us in this commitment to conserve water, and that you will find the following water conservation programs, information, and links useful:
  • Residential Water Conservation
    • Find helpful information about indoor and outdoor water saving strategies, rebate incentives for water using appliances, and more.
  • Commercial Water Conservation
    • Information about free business water assessments, water saving equipment incentive programs, and more
  • Recycled Water
    • Find out how and where the Town uses recycled water to offset our use of potable water.

Goals
  • Provide education about the limitations of our fresh water supply so people will pay greater attention to how they use water and take some action to use it more efficiently.  It is more likely that people will place a higher value on the resource when they understand that fresh water is scarce and finite.

Every Drop Countys Logo
  • Provide education about the benefit that water conservation offers by deferring the Town’s water supply infrastructure and maintenance costs, which lowers the long term price that customers pay to receive water and sewer service.
  • Provide practical assistance to our customers to help them reduce water use and lower their water and sewer bills.

  • Provide programs and develop policies that help facilitate the transformation of people’s habits and the products and technologies people use toward water saving alternatives.
  • Ensure that programs and policies are cost effective and lead to demonstrable and measurable water savings.
